Q1: Why can't I hear any sound or receive signals on most bands?
A: This is often related to the Squelch (SQ) or RF Gain settings. If the Squelch is set too high. it filters out all incoming signals. Please try turning the SQ knob counter-clockwise to the minimum to see if static returns. then adjust gradually. Also. ensure your antenna is properly tuned for the specific band you are using.
Q2: How do I fix "Low Modulation" issues during transmission?
A: First. check the Mic Gain settings in the menu. To ensure your voice is crisp and clear on SSB or other modes. speak directly into the microphone at a consistent distance.
Q3: Is this radio legal to use in the US?
A: Our radio is designed for licensed amateur radio operators and complies with FCC part 15B regulations. FCC ID: T4K-ARESII. To operate on the 10-meter band in the US. an Amateur Radio License is required. Technician Class licensees have limited segments (28.000-28.500 MHz). while General Class and above have full access to the entire band.
Q4: Why is my SWR pegged out and there is no receive audio?
High SWR is usually caused by poor antenna grounding or placement. Ensure your antenna mount has solid contact with bare metal on the vehicle chassis. For no audio. check if PA mode is accidentally turned on. or if the Squelch is set too high. If the indicator illuminates yellow and shows Error Code E5 (TX SWR too high). stop transmitting immediately to protect the radio.
Q5: Why is the scan function not working?
You MUST adjust the Squelch (SQ) knob until the background static noise just disappears BEFORE activating the scan. If the squelch is open (static is heard). the scan function will not start.
Q6: How can I fix the product issue asap?
We provide lifetime suppor t. You can reach us via two ways:
